Baqueira Beret, Spain – January 17, 2025:
Leading the charge was Ross Tester, who made a triumphant return to the Freeride World Tour after a break from the tour. Tester claimed victory with an impressive score of 92.67 points, thanks to a flawless run that skillfully combined freestyle flair and technical precision. Highlights of his performance included a massive backflip, a perfectly executed 360 grab, and impeccable control through the steep and varied terrain of La Bamba.
Ross Tester: “I had no expectation for today, I have been watching over the past year and the field is really stacked. Its anyones game, always. At the end of the day, I am happy to be here, happy to have the opportunity to do this and …yeah just have fun in the mountains with friends and that’s all that really matters but taking the win is a bonus, so stoked for it!
Ross will be travelling with Pangea Creatives who are capturing Ross on the the FWT and there will be a new film dropping this fall .
Coming up next, the FWT moves to Val Thorens, France, as excitement grows for the inaugural FIS Freeride World Championships set to take place in Andorra in 2026. We wish Ross best of luck going into the next competition.
